Hello everyone!
Continuing our journey through Dubrovnik…
If you’ve been following our blog, you already know that Dubrovnik is more than just a historic city — it’s an experience for all the senses. After exploring its charming streets and magnificent city walls, what better way to see it from a fresh perspective than from the sea itself?
Let us introduce you to one of the absolute highlights of outdoor activities in Dubrovnik: the sea kayaking tour. It’s one of those experiences that stays with you long after your holiday ends. Imagine paddling on calm, clear waters, surrounded by ancient stone walls, green islands, and secret caves…
What’s the tour like?
The starting point: Kolorina Bay
Your adventure begins at the scenic Kolorina Bay, located right next to the iconic Pile Gate. It’s the kind of place that looks like it came out of a postcard. Before setting off, your friendly instructor will show you the basics of paddling. Don’t worry — you don’t need any previous experience! Everything is explained clearly, and safety is always a priority.
Where you’ll paddle
From Kolorina, you’ll paddle along the majestic city walls, gaining a completely different view of Dubrovnik’s Old Town — from the sea! You’ll then circle around Lokrum Island, known for its lush vegetation and legends of monks and cursed royals. The route continues to Betina Cave, a hidden gem that’s only accessible by sea. Here, you’ll have the chance to swim, rest, or simply float and take in the peaceful surroundings.
Why people love this tour
- Stunning views: The contrast between the deep blue Adriatic, the ancient walls, and the green island of Lokrum is simply breathtaking.
- Mild adventure: It’s a fun and active way to explore, without being too demanding physically. Perfect for couples, friends, and even families with older kids.
- A break from the crowds: On the water, it’s just you, your paddle, and the sound of the sea. It’s a peaceful moment in an otherwise lively city.
- A chance to cool off: On hot summer days, taking a dip in Betina Cave feels like absolute bliss.
