Greetings from Dubrovnik!
Dubrovnik has started the year 2025 with some updates, including revised pricing for its popular attractions. Known as one of the more exclusive European destinations, Dubrovnik’s costs can add up quickly. Accommodation, food, and tickets are comparable to other major tourist hubs, but some services—especially attraction entry fees—can feel particularly steep.
If you’re planning to visit Dubrovnik, you have two main options for purchasing tickets. You can buy them at the entrance to each site or opt for the Dubrovnik Pass, which offers bundled access to several attractions, free rides on public transport, and discounts at restaurants, events, and more.
The City Walls: A Must-See in Dubrovnik
Among all the attractions in Dubrovnik, the city walls are the most iconic. Locals will always recommend them as a must-visit.
In 2025, tickets for the city walls cost €40 per adult and €15 for children under 18. This price includes access to the outer walls and Lovrijenac Fortress. The ticket is valid for 72 hours from the time of first use, allowing visitors to spread out their visits over three days. However, each site can only be visited once with a single ticket.
If you don’t plan to visit additional museums or other attractions, this ticket is a convenient and practical choice.
Is the Dubrovnik Pass Worth It?
The Dubrovnik Pass is available in three durations: 1 day, 3 days, and 7 days. The prices for 2025 are:
- 1 day: €40 per person
- 3 days: €50 per person
- 7 days: €60 per person
The contents of the Dubrovnik Pass haven’t changed—it still provides entry to various museums and attractions, public transport within the city (bus lines 1–9), and discounts at selected locations. However, the prices have increased this year.
So, is it worth buying the Dubrovnik Pass? If you plan to visit both the city walls and multiple museums, then absolutely—it’s a cost-effective choice. Individual tickets for each attraction can end up being significantly more expensive. Plus, if you’re staying outside the old town or further from the city center, you’ll likely use public transport, which is included in the pass.
Important to Know
The Dubrovnik Pass covers public buses only for routes within Dubrovnik city limits (lines 1–9). If you’re planning to travel to areas outside Dubrovnik, you’ll need separate tickets for those buses.
Final Thoughts
Even with the price increase, the Dubrovnik Pass remains a smart way to explore the city. It simplifies planning and allows you to experience the best of Dubrovnik, from its breathtaking city walls to its rich history and culture. Whether you’re visiting for a day or a week, it’s worth considering.
Warm regards,
Vesna 😊
